Analysis on teaching materials |
This reading material aims to introduce the fashion show. The content is easy to arouse students’ interest in learning this topic. Therefore it is attractive to guide students to read this article and it will be also very helpful to develop the students’ skills of reading and speaking. But some new words will be the hurdle to students’ understanding. | ||||||
Analysis on learners |
Grade 7 students are active, curious, competitive. So the flexible use of various teaching methods can arouse students’ curiosity , and obtain better learning effect. But they are not familiar with the reading skills such as skimming, scanning and guessing meanings of new words from the context. So the teacher should try to help them master some skills. | ||||||
Teaching objectives (including importance and difficulties) |
By the end of the lesson, students would be able to 1. master the meaning of the passage. 2. understand and learn some basic vocabulary to talk about clothes and shoes. 3. read Millie’s script fluently and design their favourite clothes. | ||||||
