new words will be the hurdle to students’ understanding.

Grade 7 students are active, curious, competitive. So the flexible use of various teaching methods can arouse students’ curiosity , and obtain

better learning effect. But they are not familiar with the reading skills such as skimming, scanning and guessing meanings of new words from the context. So the teacher should try to help them master some skills.
